Terms of Use
Version 2026-10. Effective 21 October 2026.
- This is a showcase website. Students join through our Meetup group.
- Sign-in is only for the core team and the SBGL, and the SBGL can change roles at any time.
- Do not try to break in or look at other people’s data. If you find a weakness, tell us.
- Core team edits go live only after the SBGL approves them.
1. Agreement
These terms govern your use of the website of the AWS Student Builder Group at Doon University. By using the site you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. What this site is
This website presents the Group’s events, team, projects and articles. It does not offer student accounts. To join the community, use our Meetup group. Meetup’s own terms apply to your use of Meetup.
3. Team accounts
- Sign-in is limited to the core team and the SBGL and works only with a Google account that is on the team list.
- Keep your Google account secure. You are responsible for what happens under your team account.
- Give accurate details on your profile and keep them current.
4. Roles and serial numbers
Team accounts receive a serial number and a tag. SBGDU01 is the SBGL, and SBGDU02 to SBGDU06 are the five core team seats. The SBGL may hold more than one sign-in address, and all of them share SBGDU01.
Core seats are given to specific email addresses by the SBGL and can be changed, replaced or removed at any time, for example when a core member steps down. A role is a volunteer position inside the Group. It is not employment and gives no legal rights.
Do not impersonate another person, or use a tag or serial number that is not yours.
5. Content
Team members keep ownership of what they post (profile, pictures, comments, articles). They give us a free, non-exclusive licence to store and show it on this site for as long as it is there, and promise that they have the right to post it and that it breaks no law or anyone’s rights.
The SBGL can remove content that breaks these terms.
6. Community rules
Do not:
- harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone;
- post spam, malware, or anything illegal or sexually explicit;
- publish other people’s private information;
- scrape the site, overload it, or work around rate limits.
7. Security and responsible disclosure
Do not try to access other people’s accounts or data, bypass access controls, change roles or serial numbers, or probe the site for weaknesses (including attacks such as IDOR, injection or brute force) without our written permission.
If you find a security problem, report it through the Contact page and give us reasonable time to fix it. Good-faith reports made without harming anyone’s data will not lead to action against you. We cannot offer rewards.
8. Core team edits and approvals
Core members may propose changes to events, articles and team cards. A proposal goes live only after the SBGL reviews and approves it, and deleting anything entirely needs approval too. The SBGL may reject a proposal without giving a reason, and the SBGL’s decision is final.
9. Moderation and enforcement
The SBGL may remove content, end sign-in access, and take away roles if these terms are broken. If you think a decision was wrong, ask through the Contact page.
10. Other websites
We link to services such as Meetup, LinkedIn and GitHub. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or policies.
11. Trademarks and ownership
AWS, Amazon Web Services and the AWS logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates, used here as part of the AWS Student Builder Group programme. This is a community website run by student volunteers. It is not an official website of AWS or of Doon University unless a page says so.
The design and code of this site belong to the Group. Please do not copy our branding.
12. No warranty and limits of liability
The site is provided “as is” by volunteers. We do not promise it will always be available or error free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Dehradun, Uttarakhand have jurisdiction over any dispute.
14. Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Contact us through the Contact page.
